The North & South Nodes together

The Lunar Nodes are two points, always opposite each other in the chart. The South Node is where you came from — comfortable, over-familiar. The North Node is where you are growing — awkward at first, then true.

North Node
The direction of growth

The North Node is the direction the chart is pulling toward. Its sign and house describe qualities you have not yet mastered — and are being invited to develop.

South Node
The familiar you're leaving behind

The South Node is the direction the chart already knows. It is comfortable, sometimes over-familiar — a gift, but also a groove that can hold you back if overused.
